Notes:
Commodore was in Panama.

The Rescue Vessel Dewsbury was on her 19th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on Jan. 23-1945 with the westbound Convoy ON 280, to Halifax Febr. 7, then returned to Clyde with Convoy SC 167, Febr. 16-March 1. Her previous voyage had been with Convoy ONS 37 / HX 327. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

King Edgar, on a voyage from Victoria, B.C. for Swansea Bay and London (via Halifax) with 1667 standards of lumber, 2038 tons of plywood, as well as lead and zinc, was torpedoed on March 2-1945 by U-1302. She had a crew of 35 and 11 gunners - 2 crew and 2 gunners lost their lives. She was taken in tow but sank that same evening. ("Lloyd's War Losses", Vol I).

The Norwegian Novasli was hit in the same attack; there were no casualties - follow the link for more details.

U-1302 was sunk a few days later, with no survivors.
