CONVOY HX 327
Departed New York City on Dec. 19-1944 and arrived Liverpool on Jan. 2-1945.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 44 ships in this convoy.

Transcribed from several documents received from Roger Griffiths - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

The ships are listed in the order in which they appear on the various documents.
A 1 form is not available to me and, therefore, I don't know the station numbers of these ships.

See also westbound Convoy ON 277.

Crossed out ships did not sail, underlined ships returned to port.

Also, the Rescue Vessel Dewsbury - See Notes.

Notes:
Commodore, Vice Admiral M. L. Goldsmith was in the Norwegian Ivaran. Commodore's notes are not available.

The Rescue Vessel Dewsbury was on her 18th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ONS 37 on Nov. 29-1944, to St. John's Dec. 17 - returning with HX 327 from St. John's on Dec. 23, to Clyde Jan. 2-1945. On her westbound voyage she had picked up the crew of 3 men from a Swordfish from Empire MacColl who had crashed, Dec. 11-1944 ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

Samtucky was torpedoed and damaged by U-806 on Dec. 21-1944 - there were no casualties.

More details on the Norwegian ships in this convoy can be found with the help of the alphabet index below.
