CONVOY SC 24
Departed Halifax on Febr. 28-1941 and arrived Liverpool on March 19.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 26 ships in this convoy.

Notes:
Commodore was in Manchester Commerce, Vice Commodore in Tilsington Court.

Western Chief, on a voyage from New York for Newport with 7400 tons of steel, became a straggler and was sunk on March 14 by the Italian Submarine Emo. She had a crew of 42 and 1 gunner - 22 crew perished.
