The Rescue Vessel Accrington was also with this convoy (not mentioned in the Advance Sailing Telegram). She was on her 11th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on March 23-1944 with the westbound convoy ON 229, to Halfiax Apr. 5, then returned to Clyde with SC 157, Apr. 17-Apr. 30. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

Notes:
Colin, on a voyage from New Orleans and Halifax for Garston with 4600 tons of sulphur, 47 tons vehicles, 5 tons aircraft parts, and 4269 bags of mail, became a straggler and was torpedoed and sunk by U-859 on Apr. 26. She had a crew of 39 and 15 U.S. Gunners - 1 crew died.
