The Rescue Vessel Goodwin was on her 8th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on Febr. 28-1944 with the westbound Convoy ONS 30, to Halifax March 13, then returned with SC 156 to Clyde March 29-Apr. 13 ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

* Oldham was abandoned due to a broken propeller shaft on Apr. 10 and her 51 crew recovered by Goodwin, while Oldham was towed to St. John's.
