CONVOY SC 12
Departed Sydney, C.B. on Nov. 13-1940 and arrived Liverpool on the 29th.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 17 ships in this convoy.

Transcribed from original documents (Advance Sailing Telegram) received from Tony Cooper - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.
The station numbers and names of escorts have been extracted from documents recived from Don Kindell, based on Arnold Hague's database - see
ships in all SC convoys.

There's a note on the original documents saying:
"Consequent on holding of convoys at assembly ports owing to ocean raider, following will sail together and rendezvous on Nov. 26.

Former rendezvous dates:
SC 12 - Nov. 26
HX 86 (Bermuda) - Nov. 16. May not be able to bunker and store in time, and if so, would come with HX 89. (Note that the Bermuda convoy intended for HX 86 returned to port - see BHX 86. BHX 89 also returned. The Bermuda convoy that joined Convoy HX 86 was BHX 87 - all 3 are external links).
HX 87 (Halifax) - Nov. 20
HX 87 (Sydney) - Nov. 20
HX 88 - Nov. 24" (convoy will be added - see Hague's listing for this convoy at
ships in all HX convoys)

The "raider" in question was Admiral Scheer - see Convoy HX 84.

Crossed out ships did not sail.
