*A. Hague has a note for Elisabeth van Belgie, saying "assume straggled by arrival date". Also, a note for Empire Lynx says "arrived with engine defects".
** He says Milos was involved in a collision and fell out of the convoy (again, see his listing for SC 64 at ships in all SC convoys). |
Notes: Friar Rock, on a voyage from New York for Loch Ewe with general cargo, was torpedoed and sunk on Jan. 13-1942 by U 130. 31 died, 6 survived. The convoy arrived rendezvous on Jan. 20. A. Hague names the following escorts (extracted from this list of SC convoy escorts, received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year): Related external link: To the next SC convoy in my list SC 65 |
