CONVOY SC 55
Departed Sydney, C.B. on Nov. 16-1941 and arrived Liverpool on Dec. 5.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 46 ships in this convoy

Transcribed from several original documents received from Tony Cooper (Advance Sailing Telegram) - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.
The station numbers, cargoes for the tankers and names of escorts have been extracted from documents recived from Don Kindell, based on the late Arnold Hague's database - see his listing for SC 55 at
ships in all SC convoys.

Crossed out ships did not sail, underlined returned, except those that are linked, which will automatically be underlined..

Notes:
Commodore was in Loreto. According to A. Hague (see ships in all SC convoys), this ship was in a collision with the Greek Aliakmon from Convoy ON 35 on Nov. 22.

* There's a handwritten note in the Advance Sailing Telegram in connection with West Neris saying "Probably returning St. John, N.B.".

There's also a note in connection with Monasses saying "Sailed in SC 54, no note of return as yet". However, she's added again on the last page of the Advance Sailing Telegram for SC 55.

A. Hague says Point Lobos was Panamanian (see Empire Wagtail at the Empire Ships website that I've linked to below).

The convoy arrived rendezvous on Nov. 27.

A. Hague names the following escorts (extracted from this list of SC convoy escorts, received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year):
