Additionally, the British San Ambrosio and Eulima, which had to return to port.
(They both later joined QP 5 on Jan. 13-1942).

Commodore was in Wanstead, Vice Commodore in Trekieve.

* Note that "Convoys to Russia, Bob Ruegg / Arnold Hague, lists the British El Mirlo in station 33 of this convoy, but this ship was in another part of the world at the time and could not have been in this convoy - see my text for Mirlo as well as this posting to my Ship Forum. The Advance Sailing Telegram lists the Norwegian Mirlo, not El Mirlo.

Escorts:
Until Jan. 9-1942:
Minesweepers Leda, Seagull and Speedy, trawlers Bute and Stella Capella.
Until Jan. 5: Minesweepers Bramble and Hebe.
Jan. 5-Jan. 9: Cruiser Edinburgh and destroyers Echo and Escapade.

No incidents.
