Notes:
Commodore, Captain S. N. White, R.N.R. was in Eros.

The Rescue Vessel Zamalek was intended for this convoy. She was on her 23rd voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 223 on Febr. 7-1944 (to Halifax Febr. 22), was intended to go back to the U.K. with Convoy HX 281 (Febr. 29), but due to bad weather she was forced to return to Halifax (March 6). She subsequently returned to the UK with Convoy SC 155 ("Convoy Rescue Ships", Arnold Hague).

Commodore's notes are not available - escorts not known.

All the Norwegian ships in this convoy are discussed on this website - use alphabet index below to find them.

Liberty Ships - The vast majority of the ships listed as American in the table above were Liberty ships. This website lists them alphabetically. (The Advance Sailing Telegrams do not always spell the names correctly, and I always check the spelling of each and every Liberty Ship against what is found on this site before I upload a convoy).

Similarly, I check the spell of the Empire ships at the site below
