Empire Sailor and Empire Bittern sailed in the next convoy.

The nationality for Troubadour in station 33 is given as Panamanian in the diary, but this was the Norwegian Troubadour. The Panamanian Troubador (note spelling) is listed as sailing in Convoy SC 79, which left Halifax on Apr. 11-1942.

A. Hague has listed Fort Tadoussac in station 52.

Notes:
According to the diary, the Rescue Vessel Rathlin was cancelled, but she is indeed listed as Rescue Vessel for this convoy in Arnold Hague's "Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945". He says she was on her 7th voyage as such, having started out from Clyde to Halifax (Apr. 23–May 5-1942) in Convoy ON 89, returning with HX 189 on May 10–May 20. (Rathlin had been requisitioned on July 28-1941). Elsewhere in the book he states that she "carried out 7 voyages without incident except heavy weather" then goes on to describe her 8th voyage which was with Convoy PQ 17. (Panamanian Troubador was also in that convoy).

The ships left port in the following sequence (according to the diary):
The first ship out at 9:45 was the Norwegian Kong Haakon VII, followed at 10:30 by the British freighter Fort Tadoussac, then with a few minutes between each ship the following went out:

Lancastrian Prince, Manchester Commerce, Banffshire, Lochkatrine, Winnipeg II, Empire Ocean, Salacia, Empire Spray (Catapult freighter), Myrmidon, Empire Swan, San Cipriano, Regent Lion, Empire Shearwater, Waterland, Olaf Bergh, Troubadour, Scebeli, Idefjord (at 12:20).

A. Hague names the following escorts (extracted from this list of HX convoy escorts, also received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year):
