Departed Halifax on June 20-1941 and arrived Liverpool on July 9.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 48 ships in this convoy.

See also a day-by-day account of the passage

(Will be updated - please compare with A. Hague's listing for this convoy at ships in all HX convoys. See also HX escorts).

Transcribed from several documents received from Roger Griffiths (Advance Sailing Telegram, A 1 forms and Commodore's log) - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

For info, some of the ships in this convoy returned with Convoy ON 3 on July 31.

The ships in the top line of the A 1 form for this convoy (the column leaders) are not visible, hence my question marks in the column for "stations". The only one I can make out is Baron Renfrew in station 11.

Additionally, the Commodore's notes includes Manchester City among the ships joining from Iceland, but he does not mention Spica and Randa.
Perth was the Rescue Vessel from July 4 to July 9, sailing in station 66. The Commodore's report also says Rescue Vessel Copeland joined on July 3, taking station 65 - ref. entries for July 3 on page 3. This is confirmed by "Convoy Rescue Ships" by Arnold Hague, though he says Copeland was with the convoy to Clyde from July 4 to July 9, while the Commodore's report says she left for Iceland on July 4. Perth is included on the convoy form, but Copeland is not.

Notes:
Commodore, Gerald N. Jones was in Manchester Division, Vice Commodore was Captain J. Mann of Empire Bronze.
Loch Ewe Commodore was in British Prince.
British Channel Commodore was in Edward F. Johnson.

According to the Commodore's notes, the convoy had 23 ships from Halifax, 9 from Sydney and 17 from Bermuda.

The following ships joined at sea, having been sent out from Halifax to overtake and join up with HX 134:
June 21 - Emma Bakke, Toorak and Darina.
June 28 - Luculus.

Lylepark left the Bermuda section with engine trouble on June 24 (to HX 136).
Tredinnick fell astern with boiler trouble at 13:30 on July 4. She was making for Convoy SC 35 the next day.
Empire Gold disappeared out of convoy during thick weather on the night of July 5/6, cause unknown.
HMS Linnet fell astern on July 5, was with SC 35 next day (the convoy had been ordered by the Admiralty to join up with Convoy SC 35 - see report on Page 2).

Average speed: 6.7 knots.

Ocean Escort: HMS Maloja
Local Escorts (Halifax): HMCS Dauphin and HMCS Napanee
Newfoundland Escorts: HMS Sandwich, HMS Primrose and HMCS Hepatica.
HMS Maloja and the Newfoundland Escorts parted company at 16:00 on July 4 in 61 33N 25 00W (see page 3).
Local Escorts: HMS Britomart, HMS Salamander, HMS Aubretia, HMS Nigella, HMS King Sol, HMS Sherwood, HMS St. Clair, HMS St. Apollo, HMS Carnation, HMS Hollyhock, Salisbury, Angle, and HMS Bulldog.

To the next HX convoy in my list HX 135
