Notes:
Commodore was in Samtredy, Vice Commodore in Samgara, Rear Commodore in Samcalia.

Nacella and the Norwegian Noreg were escort oilers.

Edward H Crockett, with a cargo of 1659 tons chrome ore and Samsuva, cargo of pitprops, were sunk by U-310 on Sept. 29, with the loss of 1 man from the American ship and 3 from Samsuva.

*Rathlin had arrived Russia with Convoy JW 59. She suffered damages to her rudder on arrival Molotovsk and remained in Russia for repairs for a month, before returning to the U.K. with Convoy RA 60. She rescued the 57 survivors from Samsuva.

Zamalek was on her 26th voyage as rescue vessel, see JW 60. She rescued the 67 survivors from Edward H. Crockett.

Escorts:
Close Escort from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4: Sloop Cygnet, destroyers Bulldog, Keppel and Whitehall, corvettes Allington Castle and Bamborough Castle.
Rodney and the remaining escorts from JW 60 joined at the same time (follow link above for their names), remaining until Oct. 3, at which time they departed for Scapa Flow.
