CONVOY HX 303
The Advance Sailing Telegram gives departure New York City on Aug. 8-1944,
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives departure Aug. 11 with arrival Liverpool Aug. 27 - 104 ships

Commodore B. W. L. Nicholson R.N. was in Coptic, Vice Commodore was R. G. Bruusgaard, Royal Norwegian Navy in Norwegian Geisha. Commodore's notes are not available.

The Rescue Vessel St. Clair (formerly base and accommodation ship HMS Baldur) was on her 1st voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 245 on July 18-1944, to Halifax July 31 - returning with HX 303 from Halifax, to Clyde Aug. 27. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).
