CONVOY HX 298
Departed New York City on July 3-1944 and arrived Liverpool on the 18th.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 115 ships in this convoy.

Transcribed from several documents received from Roger Griffiths - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

Crossed out ships did not sail.
A 1 form is not available to me and, therefore, I don't know the station numbers for these ships.

Additionally, the Rescue Vessel Eddystone - see Notes below (not mentioned in Advance Sailing Telegram)

Notes:
Commodore A. N. Hakking was in Empire Heritage, Vice Commodore was J. O. Dunn in Dromore. Commodore's notes are not available.

The Rescue Vessel Eddystone was on her 6th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 240 on June 10-1944, to Halifax June 25 - returning with HX 298 from Halifax on July 5, to Clyde July 17 ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

Please note that more information on all the Norwegian ships listed in this convoy can be found with the help of the index below.

Liberty Ships - Website such as this, and the 2 below are very handy for checking spelling of the ships (convoy docs don't always have the correct spelling, or they may be difficult to decipher). A great deal of the ships listed as American in the table above were Liberty ships. This website lists them alphabetically.
Fort (+ Ocean & Park) ships

Empire ships - The site also lists "Sam"-ships and other Liberty ships that came under the British flag.
