Convoy QP 3 Cruising Order
Left Archangel on Nov. 27-1941, dispersed Dec. 3.
Transcribed with the help of Advance Sailing Telegram received from Tony Cooper.
Station numbers and names of escorts were obtained from "Convoys to Russia 1941-1945", Bob Ruegg / Arnold Hague.

Underlined ships returned to Archangel, due to defects.

Upon dispersal the Russian ships proceeded to Kirkwall, the British ships to Seidisfjord.

* Arcos is listed in QP 5 in Jan.-1945, while Kuzbass does not show up again till QP 12 in May-1942 (returned, joined QP 13).



Commodore was in Orient City, Vice Commodore in Temple Arch.

Escorts:
From sailing until Dec. 9:
Minesweeper Hussar.
From sailing until Dec. 10:
Minesweeper Gossamer (these 2 vessels took the Russian ships to Kirkwall upon dispersal).
Nov. 28 - Dec. 2:
Destroyers Bedouin and Intrepid.
Nov. 29 - Dec. 3: Cruiser Kenya.
Dec. 9 - Dec. 12 (escorting British ships from Seidisfjord to Kirkwall): Trawlers Macbeth and Hamlet.

No incidents.
