CONVOY ON 99

Convoy ON 99
Departed Liverpool on May 29-1942 and arrived Boston on June 12 (Arnold Hague says 28 ships).
List received from Kevin Murphy - his source: Public Records Office.

Note that some of the ships in this convoy had arrived England with HX 188.

Notes:
Commodore, Rear Admiral F. B. Watson, R.N. was in Ville de Tamatave for New York, Vice Commodore was R.A. Melhuish R.I.N. in Emma Bakke for New York, Rear Commodore was the captain of Jamaica Planter for New York.

San Amado did not sail - fouled anchor.
Empire Keats was short of crew.

Empire Arnold lost the convoy between 05:30 and 17:00 GMT in thick fog on June 11.

On June 6 at 10:00 the convoy passed SS Queen Mary 2 miles to starboard beam.
