Departed Gibraltar on Aug. 9-1943 and arrived Port Said on the 20th.
A 1 form was received from Kevin Murphy - his source: Public Records Office.
Kevin's information has been compared to (and on the whole agrees with) a list of ships received from Don Kindell, based on Arnold Hague's own research. (Don's work, which covers "Royal & other Navies Day-by-Day in World War 2" can be viewed at this website).

* PLM 13 returned to Belfast w/engine defects. Also, A. Hague says Belnor put back to Gibraltar(?) w/defects (see also Belnor)

** A. Hague has not listed Highwear in this convoy - instead he has included her in Convoy KMS 21.

Martand had 14 passengers on board, Edam had 20.

Explosives were carried by ships in stations 33, 72, 52, 32, 62, 73, 63, 64, 54, 44, 42, 53, 74, 84, 83 and 82.

Commodore H.J. Woodward D.S.O. R.N.R. was in Martand (destination Karachi, according to Commodore's notes, Bombay according to A. Hague; also listed in the table below, bound for Port Said), Vice Commodore was the captain of Eskbank, Rear Commodore was the captain of Lublin.

The Rescue vessel Goodwin was also with this convoy. She was on her 4th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on July 29-1943 (KMS 22), to Gibraltar Aug. 9. She later returned to Clyde with Convoy MKS 21, Aug 14-Aug. 26-1943. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", A. Hague).

Escorts (received from Don Kindell):
July 28-Aug. 9:
Abelia, Asphodel, Clover, Highlander, Pennywort, Winchelsea.
July 31-Aug. 9: Walker.

(KMS 22 left Gibraltar on Aug. 9-1943, arrived Port Said on Aug. 20)

What follows was transcribed from the document received from Don Kindell; his source: Arnold Hague, whose heading for this portion is Alexandria, Aug. 18-1943.

As can be seen from the A 1 form above, some of these ships were also present from the U.K. on July 28.
