CONVOY MKS 21

Left Gibraltar on Aug. 14-1943 and arrived Clyde on the 25th.
Arnold Hague gives 32 ships, and indicates that MKS 21 had started out in Alexandria on Aug. 3, w/arrival Gibraltar on the 14th.

Transcribed from documents (Advance Sailing Telegram) received from Tony Cooper - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.
The station numbers were obtained from a list of ships in MKS 21 received from Don Kindell, based on A. Hague's own research.

For info, several of the ships in this convoy had previously arrived with Convoy OS 51/KMS 20, as will be seen at this external link. (Some are listed in Convoy KMS 21).

What follows is the Gibraltar-U.K. convoy.

The Rescue Vessel Goodwin was on her 4th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on July 29-1943 with Convoy KMS 22, to Gibraltar Aug. 9, returning to Clyde with Convoy MKS 21, Aug 14-Aug. 26-1943. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

According to my information for Norfalk, this convoy was attacked by a German aircraft on Aug. 17-1943, but was shot down by Liberators.
