Commodore was in Fort Boise, Vice Commodore in Fort Yukon and Rear Commodore in Empire Stalwart.

Blue Ranger and Lacklan were escort oilers.

Horace Bushnell was torpedoed on March 20 by U-995, towed in by Orwell, but became total loss, salvaged post war (6500 tons stores, 5 dead, 64 survived, taken to Murmansk by Orwell, 1 died on board en route). That same day, Thomas Donaldson was sunk by U-968 (7679 tons war materials, 4 dead). Sloop Lapwing was also sunk (U-968, disagreement in sources, some say U-716).

The escorting destroyer Onslaught returned to port after having collided with Blue Ranger while oiling.

Escorts:
March 11-March 21 (close escorts): Corvettes Allington Castle, Alnwick Castle, Bamborough Castle, Lancaster Castle, Camellia, Honeysuckle, Oxlip, destroyers Myngs and Norwegian Stord, sloop Lapwing.
From March 12: Cruiser Diadem, escort carrier Campania and destroyers Onslaught, Opportune, Orwell, Scorpion, Zambesi and Canadian Sioux, corvette Farnham Castle.
From March 15: Escort carrier Trumpeter, destroyers Savage and Scourge.
All ships remained until arrival Kola Inlet, except Lapwing, which was sunk, and Onslaught, which returned after collison.
