 Some War Voyages:

Sigrid is listed in Convoy HN 11 from Norway to the U.K. in Febr.-1940, bound for Sheernees with pulp. She returned to the U.K. early in March with Convoy ON 18, and at the end of that month, shortly before the German invasion of Norway, we find her in Convoy HN 22, bound for Preston with general cargo - follow the links for more info; several Norwegian ships took part in all these convoys.

Bachke & Co. lost most of their ships to this war, namely Enid, Eldrid, Hilda, Gunvor, Gudrid (later raised) and Inger, all listed on this website (they can be found through the Ship Index - some are listed in the Homefleet). Bera and Sigrid survived, Nea was laid up, then sold after the war.

 POST WAR:

Sold in 1950 to Egon Oldendorff, Lübeck and renamed Dietrich Oldendorff. Sold in 1954 to Paulsen & Ivers Schiffahrts- und Kohlenhandels G.m.b.H., Kiel and renamed Signal. Sold in 1958 to Almwich-Harmstorf & Co., Altona/Hamburg for breaking up. (All details from Bachke & Co. fleet list, Finn R. Hansen).
