The Rescue Vessel Toward was also with this convoy. She was on her 20th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on May 20-1942 with the westbound Convoy ON 96, to Halifax, June 5. She then sailed with HS 12 from Halifax to Sydney, C.B. (June 12-June 14), joining Convoy SC 88 there on June 19 to return to Clyde, July 1.

Commodore was in Loreto, Vice Commodore in Empire Lynx, Rear Commodore in North Devon.
