CONVOY RU 11
Departed Reykjavik for the U.K. on Febr. 8-1942

Received from Tony Cooper, England - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

Note: I'm assuming all Danish ships were under British control at that time.

Notes:
* Strangely, Lowther Castle is listed in Convoy PQ 11, which assembled at Loch Ewe, then sailed to Kirkwall on Febr. 6-1942, departing for Russia on Febr. 14, arrived Murmansk Febr. 22. She returned from Murmansk on March 21 with Convoy QP 9, which arrived Reykjavik on Apr. 3-1942. (I say "strangley", because the date for PQ 11 does not fit in with the fact that RU 11 left Reykjavik on Febr. 8 - perhaps she proceeded straight to Kirkwall and joined PQ 11 from there?).

Convoy QP 6 had sailed from Murmansk on Jan. 24-1942, dispersed Jan. 28. (Aneroid had previously arrived Murmansk on Jan. 11 with Convoy PQ 7B).

** No tonnage is given for the ship listed as Duro above, but I'm wondering if it might be a misspelling of the Norwegian Douro?
