CONVOY MKS 5 and MKS 5X

Convoy MKS 5 Cruising Order
According to Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" this convoy left Philippeville on Jan. 5-1943 and arrived Liverpool on the 22nd (43 ships).
Transcribed from a document received from Don Kindell - His source: A. Hague's own research, whose heading for the following list of ships is Algiers, Jan. 8-1943.

(For info, there was also a faster convoy, MKF 5, which had left Algiers on Dec. 24-1942 and arrived Clyde on the the 31st).

See also KMS 5.

The British (Ex French) Ville de Strasbourg, which had previously arrived from the U.K. with Convoy KMS 5, is said to have been in Convoy MKS 5 when damaged by a torpedo from U-371 on Jan. 7-1943 - As can be seen, this ship is not included among the list of ships in this table.

* Miriam returned to Lisbon, having become a straggler on Jan. 14.

2 ships have been given station 92 - I suspect 1 of them belongs in station 91.

A. Hague has also included the following ships (all British, except William Johnson), but station numbers are not given:
Antonio (Algiers to Gibraltar).
Dalhanna (Bone to Algiers to repair).
Orkla (returned to Algiers).
San Amado, with a note "probably a delay en route".
American William Johnson (Bone to Gibraltar).
