* Pecten sailed in the next convoy, HX 29. |
Notes: Commodore was in Empire Confidence, Vice Commodore in Newfoundland, and Rear Commodore in Henry Desprez. * Judging from some arrows written in by hand it looks like Induna was originally in station 77 and W. B. Walker in 73, but swapped places. Similarly, Shirak 's original postion appears to have been 57 and Edward F. Johnson's 56. ** According to Arnold Hague, San Gabriel and Walter D. Munson were Greek ships. (Hague's listing for HX 28 is available on the page naming ships in all HX convoys). He says Lucerna became a straggler on March 18, but rejoined on the 29th. Ocean Escort: HMS Royal Sovereign. A. Hague names the following escorts (extracted from this list of HX convoy escorts received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year): To the next HX convoy in my list HX 29 |
