* Norwegian and Geraldine Mary had been cancelled from HXF 13. Geraldine Mary later joined HXF 14.

* There's a Winamac listed for station 23 (for Clyde), with the notation "may join", then crossed out. Instead, she sailed in the next convoy, HX 14.

Sirikishna in station 12 had been scheduled for the previous convoy, HX 12.

Notes:
Commodore was in Haughton Hall in station 31, Vice Commodore in Gitano, station 51, while Rear Commodore was in Botavon in station 11.

According to Arnold Hague, Athelbeach became a straggler and went ashore - see his listing for HX 13 on the page naming ships in all HX convoys. I have no further details on this, but she must have been refloated, because she's listed as having been sunk when in Convoy OB 293 in the spring of 1941 - ref. external links below.

Ocean escort: HMS Emerald.

A. Hague lists the following escorts (received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year):
Emerald - From 22/12/39 to 03/01/40
Mackay - From 02/01/40 to 04/01/40
Saguenay - From 20/12/39 to 22/12/39
Skeena - From 20/12/39 to 22/12/39
Verity - From 02/01/40 to 04/01/40
Warwick - From 02/01/40 to 04/01/40
Wolverine - From 02/01/40 to 04/01/40
