CONVOY HX 1
Left Halifax on Sept. 16-1939 and arrived Liverpool on the 30th.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 15 ships in this convoy.

Cargo and names of escorts have been extracted from the late Arnold Hague's database, received from Don Kindell. Additional details have been added with the help of R. W. Jordan's "The World's Merchant Fleets 1939". Convoy stations not available.

* On Oct. 15-1939, Vermont was stopped and sunk by U-37, 48 01N 17 22W, with the loss of 2 lives.
