* The Advance Sailing Telegram states that Empire Tern was to be transferred to Convoy SL 97 (originated in Freetown on Jan. 4-1942, arrived Liverpool on the 24th), but is not listed in that convoy on Mike Holdoway's website about the SL convoys (external link). Mike has a note that sates the Gibraltar section did not join, due to enemy submarine activity. Perhaps she joined SL 97G?
** Convoy SL 97G left Gibraltar on Jan. 11-1942 and arrived Liverpool on the 24th.
