Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" agrees with 28 ships.

Notes:
* Latymer, on a voyage from Lisbon and Oporto for London with a cargo of sardines, fishmeal and 3000 tons cork, was bombed and set on fire by German aircraft on Oct. 2-1940, 51 20N 10 30W, 4 miles west of the Skelligs, 5 miles south of Tireaght Lighthouse. SOS sent in 51 20N 10 30W, sank at 7 p.m. - 6 died, 22 survived (Source: Lloyd's War Losses, Vol I).

Commodore's notes are not available and, therefore, escorts are not known.
