Notes:
Comparing the above to a list of ships received from D. Kindell, based on Arnold Hague's research, I find that A. Hague has not included El Caney in this convoy.

Jacksonville, on a voyage from New York for Shellhaven with 14 300 tons of motor spirit, was torpedoed on Aug. 30-1944 by U-482. She had a crew of 49 and 29 Armed Guard - 48 crew and 28 Armed Guard died.

U-482 also sank HMS Hurst Castle (Sept. 1). According to U-boat.net (see external link below), this ship was part of the escort for CU 36, but I've been informed, via this message in my Guestbook, that she was not. Also, she's not included in the list of escorts below.

No further details are available on this convoy.

Escorts (Received from Don Kindell - His source: The late Arnold Hague's database - as can be seen, HMS Hurst Castle is not mentioned):
USS Harveson
USS Joyce
USS Kirkpatrick
USS Oswald
USS Peterson
USS Poole

They all joined on Aug. 20-1944 and remained until Aug. 30.
