 Notes:

Arnold Hague has included Skum in the Norway-U.K. Convoy HN 7 in Jan.-1940. Later that month, he has her in Convoy HN 8 from Norway (Pluto was sunk). Follow the links for more information; several Norwegian ships took part in both these convoys.

According to Page 1 of the archive documents, Skum arrived Setubal on Apr. 9-1940, the day of the German invasion of Norway. She had started out in Bayonne on Apr. 5.

Apart from a few voyages to France, she was subsequently mostly in service around the U.K., as will be seen from the various archive documents and A. Hague's Voyage Record above.

She was damaged in an air attack on June 21-1941, about 25 n. miles off Cromer. On that date, she's listed in Convoy EC 36 (external link, incomplete listing). The Norwegian Dux, Fana, Jernland and Tautra are also listed. Skum was taken in tow to Harwich. Her voyages in this period are shown on Page 3 and it'll be noticed that there's subsequently a long gap in her voyages - perhaps repairs had been necessary.

Skum took part in Operation Neptune (Normandy invasion), arriving St. Vaas July 2-1944, according to "Nortraships flåte".
