Built by Wm Hamilton & Co. Ltd., Port Glasgow in 1926.

Daviken was damaged in an aircraft attack on Aug. 14-1937 during the Sino-Japanese (China/Japan) hostilities.

Judging from the information found on Page 6, Daviken did not get to go home to Norway until Jan.-1946.

 POST WAR: 

Transferred in 1959 to Pan Norse SS Co. SA, Panama (manager Wallem & Co), renamed Negoswan. Renamed Nego Swan in 1960. Sold in 1964 to Doreen Steamship Corp. SA, Panama (manager Quiny Chuang, Hong Kong), renamed Benora. Sold to breakers at Kaohsiung, Taiwan in March 1968.

Stavern Memorial commemoration - This is Able Seaman Trygve Ludvik Jacobsen who is listed as having died following a "war related"(?) accident on board on March 3-1944. According to Page 4, Daviken was on her way from Pilottown to Key West on this date.
