When war broke out in Norway on Apr. 9-1940, Beau was on her way from Abadan to Aden and Lourenço Marques - see Page 1 of the archive documents. Her 1941 voyages also start on this document and continue on Page 2, which also has her 1942 voyages and a few 1943 voyages. The rest of her 1943 voyages and her 1944 voyages are listed on Page 3; Page 4 shows her movements to Apr.-1946. It'll be noticed that she occasionally had long stays in port.

 POST WAR: 

Sold in 1956 to Ocean Transports Inc., Monrovia and renamed Khios Pioneer. Sold for breaking up, departing Hirobata for Osaka on March 19-1963.

Other ships by this name: Another Beau was delivered in Febr.-1962, buit in Tønsberg, Norway, 18 417 gt, managed by Biørn Biørnstad & Co. Sold to Sweden in 1963 and renamed Si Ragne. Sold to Greece in 1969, renamed Capetan Mathios. Ran aground on July 5-1976, voyage Houston-Aruba, refloated, towed to Baltimore, sold for breaking up in 1977. The company's 3rd Beau was delivered in Oct.-1964, built in Leirvik, Norway, 34 465 gt. Sold in 1972 and renamed Sibeau, managed by Tschudi & Eitzen, Oslo. Sold to owners in London in 1973, renamed Halycon Loch, then Woodburn the following year for new British owners. Sold to Greece in 1979, renamed Yeota E. Renamed Stefania A in 1983 (still Greek), Stefanias in 1984 (of Gibraltar). Broken up in 1984.
