According to Page 1 of the archive documents, Austvangen was on her way from Demerara to Trinidad when war broke out in Norway on Apr. 9-1940. It'll be noticed, when going to the various archive documents, that occasional long stays in port are shown.

Tehi for Suomen Laiva O/Y (John Konkola), Helsingfors, Finland. Owned from 1955 by Fenno Steamship Ltd. O/Y(O/Y Fenno Shipping Co.Ltd.), Åbo, Finland, renamed
Rundal. From 1958, Fenno Steamship Ltd. O/Y (O/Y Fenno Shipping Co. Ltd.), Nagu, Finland, no name change. From 1959, Fenno Steamship Ltd. O/Y, Nagu, Finland. Owner from Nov.-1966 was Laiva O/Y Ritva (Erkki Poikonen), Helsingfors, Finland, renamed
Saana. Sold to Germany for breaking up in Oct.-1967, arriving Lübeck Dec. 2.
