(Arnold Hague says 57 ships, and gives departure Liverpool as Nov. 19, arrival New York Dec. 5). 5).

* Rescue Vessel Melrose Abbey was on her 11th voyage as such, joining the convoy from Clyde on Nov. 20-1943, arrived Halifax on Dec. 2. She later returned to the U.K. with Convoy HX 270 on Dec. 12-1943 - to Clyde Dec. 25. ("Convoy Rescue Ships", Arnold Hague).

Escorts:
HMCS St. Clair, Midland, Sherbrooke, Ville de Quebec, Mulgrave
Lethbridge, Shawinigan, Brantford, Granby.
HMS Fame, Vanquisher, Deveron, Vervain, Grenadier, rescue tug Tenacity, Norwegian corvettes Potentilla, Rose and Eglantine. (The latter had just returned from escorting the Arctic convoy RA 54A).
