CONVOY MKS 16
Left Gibraltar on July 9-1943, joined up with Convoy SL 132 (from Freetown) the next day, arriving Liverpool on July 22.

Transcribed from Advance Sailing Telegram received from Tony Cooper - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

Please note that this external website has the names of ships in the combined Convoy SL 132 / MKS 16, w/voyage information.

What follows is the Gibraltar-U.K. portion. (As can be seen from the tables further down on this page, some of these ships had previously arrived with the Alexandria or Tripoli convoy).

Additionally, the Rescue Vessel Rathlin - She was on her 13th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde on June 24-1943 with Convoy KMS 18B - to Gibraltar July 3, then returned from there to Clyde with Convoy MKS 16 (& SL 132), July 9-July 21. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).

Note: I've compared the above with a list of ships in Convoy MKS 16 received from Don Kindell, based on A. Hague's own research, and find that A. Hague has not included the Norwegian Mammy in this convoy.

Escorts (also received from Don Kindell, whose own work, covering "Royal & other Navies Day-by-Day in World War 2" can be viewed at this website):
July 9-July 10:
MMS 534, Lady Hogarth, Shippigan, Tadoussac, Velox.

From Alexandria June 24-1943 - arrived Tripoli June 29.

Transcribed from the document mentioned above, received from Don Kindell, based on A. Hague's own research.
