Convoy HX 79 Cruising Order
Departed Halifax on Oct. 8-1940 and arrived Liverpool Oct. 23 (Arnold Hague gives 49 ships).

Further details have been added with the help of:

"Axis Submarine Successes of World War Two", Jürgen Rohwer.

The stations given for the majority of the convoy forms from Ted are the intitial convoy stations on departure; these may have changed as the voyage progressed.

S = Ships joining from Sydney, C. B. (stations given in Notes).
B = Ships joining from Bermuda (stations given in Notes).

Br=British, Sw=Swedish, Du=Dutch, Norw=Norwegian, s=sunk, dam=damaged, †=dead.
