Notes: Commodore was in Rothermere, Vice Commodore in Manchester Progress, Rear Commodore in Sulairia.
Rockpool appears to have had boiler problems on Oct. 9, reduced speed to 8 knots (average speed of convoy was 9 knots). Straggled? Ocean Escorts: HMS York and 2 more (handwritten report, hard to desipher, but looks like Fraser and St. Laurent. See also HX 2 and HX 3), meeting up in 42 36N 55 21W, staying with convoy from 11:00 on Oct 8 until noon, Oct. 10. Local Escorts: HMS Winchester(?) and Witherington(?) meeting in 49 50N 13 00W at 07:00 GMT on Oct. 21 and remained with the convoy until arrival Liverpool. The convoy also had aircraft escort from that date until arrival, as well as out from Halifax for the first 2 days. According to A. Hague, the escorts were (received from D.
