CONVOY HX 22

Convoy HX 22 Cruising Order
Departed Halifax on Febr. 22-1940 and arrived Liverpool on March 9 (Arnold Hague says 35 ships).

The ships denoted * had been scheduled for the previous convoy, HX 21, but did not sail. Note that A. Hague has not included Pagatsikos in this convoy (his listing for HX 22 is available on the page naming ships in all HX convoys).


Notes:
The British Counsellor struck a mine on March 8-1940 - 53 38N 03 23W. Mine laid by U 32 on March 7, according to "The World's Merchant Fleetw 1939", R.W. Jordan, but there may be some new findings on this; Uboat.net says the mine had been laid by U-30 on Jan. 6 - see external link below.
