CONVOY HGF 32

Convoy HGF 32 Cruising Order
Departed Gibraltar on May 28-1940 and arrived Liverpool on June 6 (Arnold Hague agrees w/32 ships).
Transcribed from several documents received from Tony Cooper, England - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

Captains' names are in parenthesis, above the names is info on armament where known (pdr.=pounder).

Notes:
Commodore was in Harcalo, Vice Commodore in Clausina.

Pacific and Ioanna lost touch with the convoy on the night of May 29/30. Ioanna, on a voyage from Alexandria for Tyne, was shelled and sunk on June 1 by U-37, 120 miles west of Finisterre. Crew landed at Vigo.

Harlingen parted company for Philadelphia on the night of May 29/30.

Fernhill left at 13:34 May 30.

Alderamin, Axios, Stagpool, Medjerda, Blitar, Norman Prince, Milcrest, Lise, West Wales, Darcoila, Woensdrecht, Clausina left at 06:00 June 4.
San Alvaro and Vilja left at 20:00 June 4.
Skudd 4 and Skudd 5 left at 22:00 on the 4th.

Commodore's notes are not available.
