Notes:
Commodore was in Eurylochus, Vice Commodore was A. J. Robertson R.N.R. in Patia (Captain A. G. Jones, who is judged "exceptionally capable and reliable as a navigator").

Reedpool lost touch on Apr. 24.
Dalgoma parted company on Apr. 25 (at 02:45?).
Earlspark parted company at 19:20, Apr. 25.
Saltersgate left at 19:30, Apr. 25.

Commodore's notes are not available.

Notes for B Portion:
The convoy split up at 17:00 on Apr. 24, with the B portion proceeding towards the St. Georges' Channel escorted by HMS Leith. Patia was Commodore's ship for this portion of 15 ships.

Average speed: 8.5 knots.

Trelissick and Baron Belhaven parted company for the British Channel at 16:00 on Apr. 25.
At 17:30 that day the convoy encountered thick fog and mist which lasted all night. Visibility 2 cables, clearing occasionally to a visibility of about 1 mile, but only temporarily.
At about 05:00 the next day, Apr. 26, (still with visibility of 2 cables to 1 mile), Sesostris parted company for Belfast, but was not actually seen to go. British Fortune and Almenara left for the Clyde at 07:45, and at 08:30 British Lord left for Belfast.
The convoy was formed into 2 columns at 10:50, then at 12:00, on approaching the swept channel, into a single line ahead. When 8 miles from the Bar Light Vessel at 13:30 the convoy was ordered to act independently. Patia stopped at Bar Light Vessel at 14:15 and embarked pilot.

Escorts:
Chacal (French destroyer), La Batailleuse (also French), and HMS Velox.
HMS Leith escorted the B portion from 48 10N 8W.
