* Begum, crossed out in station 63, is listed in Convoy HGF 25.
Also, there's a note in connection with Convoy HGF 25 that Istok, Polarsol, Calderon and British Viscount in that convoy were from HG 24. These are not mentioned in the A 1 form for HG 24.
For info, there was also a convoy designated HGF 24 (fast) which had left Gibraltar on March 25-1940 with 22 ships, arrival Liverpool Apr. 3.
* Zaafaran was later requisitioned for use as British Rescue Vessel, Oct.-1940.

Notes:
Commodore Vice Admiral R. Eliot, C.B.E. was in Yoma, Vice Commodore Vice Admiral B. Fairbairn, C.B.E. in Otina (later acted as Commodore for A section of 12 ships).

The convoy had 40 ships.

Average speed:
From Gibraltar to splitting point - 6.57 knots
From splitting point to Downs - 7.44 knots.

Matronna lost touch during the night of Apr. 3/4, approximate midnight position 46 16N 1 10W. Very erratic throughout the voyage and was cautioned by HMS Enchantress at dusk Apr. 3.

Sevilla, Medjerda and British Diplomat parted company for Portland at 08:00 on Apr. 6 in 49 57N 2 35W.

Vancolite left for Le Havre, and Solarium and Lublin for Southampton at 15:00 on Apr. 6 in 50 10N 1 11W.

Depth charges were dropped by HMS Wakeful at 13:15 and at 14:40 on Apr. 5 in 49 03N 5 46W - non sub - and again at 23:30 same day in 49 33N 4 9W - again non sub.
