Notes:
Commodore was in Exminster.

Commodore's notes on passage are not available.

When comparing the above list to a list of ships received from D. Kindell, based on A. Hague's own research, I find that A. Hague has not included Red Canyon in this convoy.

Seakay, on a voyage from Curacao to Avonmouth (via New York) with 14 000 tons of vapour oil and 14 aircraft (on deck), was torpedoed by U-311 on March 19. She had a crew of 56, 28 Armed Guard and 1 U.S. Army Security Officer - 1 Armed Guard died. ("Lloyd's War Losses" adds she was sunk by U.S. ship's gun fire).

Escorts (Received from Don Kindell - His source: The late Arnold Hague's database):
USS Charles Lawrence
USS Daniel T. Griffin
USS Donnell
USS Hopping
USS Reeves
USS Sims

They all joined on March 10-1944 and remained until March 20.
