Commodore was Commander W. H. Austin, R.N.R. in Pacific Shipper, Capt. Evans.
Vice Commodore was Captain George of Empire Prince.

Commodore's comments re Pacific Shipper:
"A most desirable ship with Gyro Compass, Loud Hailer, Echo Sounder. A most efficient Master and Crew".

Commodore's remarks on behaviour of particular ships:
"SS Artigas, Capt. Steele and SS Clausina, Capt. Thomas were particularly efficient in convoy".

The Commodore adds:
"The coastal plot 0635/29/8/42 was most valuable.
Five balloons disappeared during the night and two caught fire in the afternoon of 29th in heavy thunderstorm".

HMT Aquamarine - from the time the convoy left Bangor at 08:00 on Aug. 28 - left at Barry Roads at 18:30 on Aug. 29.
HMT Sphene also joined at Bangor at the same time - left at Milford Haven at 10:00 Aug. 29.
HMS Rosemary joined abeam S. Rock at 10:30 on Aug. 28 - left at St. Govens at 12:45 Aug. 29.
HMT Leeds United joined at 18:30 Aug. 29 - left at Scarweather at 16:30 Aug. 29.
