(In my capacity as Platon hired help) From "Navi Militari Perdute": CHINOTTO was returning to Palermo after an ASW search sortie with the other TB MISSORI. On 28 March 1941 at 09:40 when about 4,5 miles off Capo Gallo (and 10 miles from Palermo) she detonated a mine and was crippled. She later hit another mine, which caused her rapid sinking. There were 48 dead among her crew.
