Hi guys,

I don't believe Miyajima maru was ex HMS Sunflower for a simple reason: her tonnage. She is in my database as a 2000 tgr vessel, whereas XAN Kosei maru was listed at 1026 tgr.
I would not know how to calculate the tonnage for a former sloop, but it seems to me that in this case the shoe does not fit. While Miramar was still free, I had discovered a number of inexact entries relating to Japanese vessels. some of which I communicated to the webmaster. Japanese records are so incomplete we probably will never know exactly what happened to some of the ships.
