I have just read the website re: Lars Riisdal
I am thrilled to find mention of this old ship
My father, John Dennis Lee, sailed on her about 1923 - 1927. I am not sure of exact dates. At the time he sailed on her, she was being used as a guano collecter on the Skeleton Coast. I believe around Walvis Bay.
He was born in 1905 and would have been bet. 18-22. I have just found photos of her in CapeTown but don't know the date of them.
I would be very pleased to receive any further info. about her. I just wish my father was still alive to hear about this.
He had so many stories to tell about his guano collecting trips and I would love to know more.
