Hello Jan-Olof and Brian,
I checked my database and the URSULA entry had a typo (43°32' N instead of 45°32' N). Considering this in a new light, URSULA and UNIQUE were much further north than I thought and it is quite possible that ELM was attacked by HMS UNIQUE as both British submarines were moving southward via 48°50' N, 06°14' W. The ELM position is still 85 miles north of URSULA and would not explain the two explosions she heard. If UNIQUE did indeed attack ELM, she was still quite a bit behind schedule but she may have experienced defects which delayed her. I have made the correction as "possibly HMS UNIQUE" rather then "bogus". Many thanks.
Best regards,
Platon
