Dear all,

In the book „ History of Modern Whaling“ (shortened english edition) I have come across the fact that the whale factory ship „SIR JAMES CLARK ROSS“ was sold to Danmark when a modern vessel was buildt in 1930 to replace the old one. I would like to know the ship’s fate and details. Did it ever start whaling under Danish flag? The book mentioned above is an excellent source, but whaling research is quite difficult outside Norway and I have little information on whaling fleets. So if there are any pictures of the ship (catchers as well) it would be greatly aprecciated.

Regards

Max
