a follow-on question to Jordi's ALFIERI-thread from 3/3/2019 (now in the read-only-section)

Which unit (FAA, RAF ?) belonged the torpedo bombers to (in both attacks) ?

Hello Urs,

The 30 July attack was made up by eight Beaufighters of 39 Squadron (RAF), four carrying torpedoes and four acting as anti-flak (the Italians mentioned seven aircraft). The attack on the previous day was also made by Beaufighters but apparently from another squadron.
